More than just kimchi

Korea really snuck up on us. This trip fell during an unusually busy (even for us) time of the year, where we felt like we’d spent more time sleeping in airport lounges than our own bed. So, it was with not much thought and hardly any preparation that we touched down in Seoul with Intrepid Travel.

This was a food trip. The whole point was to explore the gastronomic delights of South Korea, which, as we quickly learnt, involve much more than bibimbap and pickled kimchi. We practiced martial arts by day and gorged on traditional fried chicken by night. We saw the sunrise with a temple and saw the sunset with a beer. And it was the best.
